San Marcos boys basketball picks up first win on the year

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Shakir Ahmad scored 24 points as he led San Marcos High School to a 63-54 home win over Cabrillo in a Channel League opener.

Max Sheldon added 14 points as the Royals won for the first time in four games this year.
