SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Cabrillo High School senior Corrin Jure had to change course due to the coronavirus pandemic but he is determined to reach his goal.

He was scheduled to run a marathon in Bend, Oregon as part of his senior project but it changed to a virtual race.

With the help of his mentor John Steffans, Corrin will still run the marathon but it's now in Lompoc.

He will start at Cabrillo High School and run 26.2 miles, finishing at Jalama Beach.

The marathon will take place Sunday, April 19.

Corrin Jure ran cross-country at Cabrillo last fall but had his spring track season canceled.
