Gauchos announce Renee Jimenez as new head coach of women’s basketball

UC SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UCSB announced that Renee Jimenez will be their new head coach of women's basketball.

A former press conference is this Friday at 1 p.m. on campus.

Jimenez comes to the Gauchos after 8 seasons as head coach of Cal State San Marcos.

She led the Cougars to the NCAA Division II Final Four this year which included an upset over the #1 ranked team Gannon University.

Jimenez takes over for the retired Bonnie Henrickson.

Jimenez is a Ventura High School and Ventura College graduate.
