Gauchos get their Bling as they celebrate Big West titles with Ring Ceremony

UC SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Big West champions came together one more time to celebrate with their new bling!

The UCSB men's basketball team held a ring ceremony at the Thunderdome which included a highlight video of the 2020-'21 special season.

The Gauchos won both the regular season Big West title and the Big West Tournament to advance to the program's first NCAA Tournament since 2011.

The Gauchos received their championship rings and talked about how each player sacrificed to win a league championship.

Recent UCSB graduates JaQuori McLaughlin, Devearl Ramsey, Brandon Cyrus and Robinson Idehen were all on hand for the ceremony. Idehen will be a graduate student at UCSB and continue to play for the Gauchos.

The team also got to see the renovations that are taking place at the Thunderdome as the new upstairs practice court is finished.

Chairback seating is replacing all of the bleachers as well.

Season ticket sales for the upcoming season begins in mid-June at ucsbgauchos.com
