Foresters run-rule the Kraken at the NBC World Series

The Foresters dominated the Kraken 10-0 in a game cut short due to a run-rule.

WICHITA, Kansas.- The 3-time defending NBC World Series champion Santa Barbara Foresters made a strong opening statement with a 10-0 six inning run-rule victory over the Kraken, Texas.

The Foresters, who have won a record 10 NBC titles overall, dominated in all phases of this game as the score would indicate.

Santa Barbara scored 4 runs in the first inning and never looked back.

The lead grew to 6-0 in the third after a solo home run off the bat of Miguel Santos.

Eamonn Lance drove in 3 runs in the game, the final one ended the game in the sixth inning.

Zane Petty was terrific on the mound for Santa Barbara as he pitched a 2-hit shutout while striking out six batters in the six innings.

The Foresters are back in action on Sunday for their second game of this tournament at 6:30pm PDT.
