Multiple “high-risk” sex offenders arrested during compliance check in Ventura
VENTURA, Calif. -- Ventura Police arrested multiple "high-risk" sex offenders in Ventura on Wednesday.
Ventura Police Department along with the Ventura County Probation and State Parole conducted a series of sex offender compliance checks in Ventura.
They searched offenders that were on active parole and/or probation.
They visited 15 offenders' homes and arrested four men.
The men were arrested on various charges including possession of a controlled substance, lewd conduct or violating their parole.
Police say compliance checks are done regularly to ensure that "high-risk" offenders are following their court-ordered restrictions.
