Bus crashes with bikers, injures four passengers in Santa Barbara

KEYT

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – Four people in an MTD bus suffered minor injuries after crashing into bikers just after 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, according to Santa Barbara Police.

SBPD officers, SB City Fire crews and paramedics arrived at the 1000 block of Cliff Drive for the reported crash with injuries.

The investigation revealed that the bikers turned eastbound onto Cliff Drive when it clipped the mirror of the MTD bus already going east, according to the SBPD.

The bus driver abruptly put on their brakes to avoid a bigger collision with the bikers and the sudden stoppage caused four passengers to suffer minor injuries from the crash, according to the SBPD.

The bikers were not injured from the crash and three of the four bus passengers were taken to Cottage Hospital for further medical evaluation, according to the SBPD.

The crash remains under investigation and no further information is available at this time to Your News Channel.
