Santa Maria Police release name of 20-year-old shooting victim from October 21 incident

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Santa Maria Police Department has released the identity of the 20-year-old shot and killed during a backyard party on Oct. 21, 2023 as Santa Maria resident Arthur Pichardo.

Three other victims were treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and are all expected to make full recoveries detail Santa Maria Police Department.

According to Santa Maria Police Department, officers were dispatched for a shooting in the 1000 block of N. School Street around 12:32 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Arriving officers learned there had been a party during the shooting and that multiple people on the scene were in need of medical attention detail Santa Maria Police Department.
