Police conducting investigation of Saturday shooting in Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – The Santa Maria Police Department is conducting an investigation into a shooting at a residence in the 1300 block of Yale Pl. on Saturday that left one person with serious injuries.

That person is now in serious, but stable condition relay Santa Maria Police Department.

Around 12:49 a.m. on Oct. 14, officers with the Santa Maria Police Department (SMPD) were dispatched for a reported shooting at a residence in the 1300 block of Yale Pl. detail SMPD.

According to SMPD, a large Halloween party was happening when the shooting occurred and detectives believe there are multiple outstanding witnesses who still need to be interviewed regarding the incident.
