Santa Maria woman involved in June 1 three-car collision dies from injuries

SANTA MARIA, Calif.– The Santa Maria Police Department provided an update on Thursday about one person injured in a major traffic collision on Jun. 1. On Jun. 13, 59-year-old Santa Maria resident Leticia Rivera Aguilar died from her injuries.

The three-vehicle collision happened just after 1 p.m. on Mahoney Road about half-a-mile north of Black Road and resulted in four people transported to local hospitals.

On Tuesday, Jun. 13, Santa Barbara County Coroner's Office informed the Santa Maria Police Department's Traffic Unit that while hospitalized, Aguilar died from her injuries resulting from the collision.

The Santa Maria Police Department's Traffic Unit is continuing its investigation of the collision.
