Alfie’s Fish & Chips celebrating 53 years in Lompoc

LOMPOC, Calif.- The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce joined community members to celebrate the restaurant’s decades of success in a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Alfie's is known for its English feel, original recipes and family friendly atmosphere.

The company started in 1969 as a franchise in Texas City, Texas and expanded to other locations. But one by one Alfie's locations shut down including the original in 2019. That makes the one in Lompoc the very last Alfie's still operating.

The owners of Alfie's say they feel honored to be part of the community for so many years.

“It feels great, we been through a lot with COVID in the last couple of years. It's kind of a culmination of not just the anniversary, but kind of getting back to normal and getting back to the community we're really excited to to be at this milestone," said Mike Sewall Alfie’s Fish & Chips owner.
