Lompoc Electric Division receives national designation for energy

LOMPOC, Calif. – Lompoc Electric Division was awarded the Smart Energy Provider status from the American Public Power Association.

The Lompoc electricity provider joins 97 other public power utilities in the United States that currently have the designation.

The award highlights public power utilities for smart energy program structure, environmental and sustainability initiatives, and customer support.

Utility Director for the city C. J. Berry, celebrated the news stating, "This SEP designation represents our dedication to offering programs that keep our power competitively priced, support energy efficiency and conservation in our community, all while being a responsible steward of the environment."
