First responders help rescue kayakers Friday afternoon near Gaviota Beach

GOLETA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara County Fire Department has sent crews to rescue two kayakers one mile west of Gaviota Beach after one fell into the water Friday afternoon.

The SBCFD helped one person through jetskis; no injuries were reported after both people were rescued around 5:28 p.m.
