Flying into the 50th Anniversary Summer Solstice Celebration

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Santa Barbara's Summer Solstice Celebration has reached a milestone of 50 year starting on June 21 through the 23.

The three day event is filled with art, music, parades, and something for all ages.

"Flights of Fancy" is this year's theme and that's what the fun floats for Saturday, June 22 will represent.

Starting on Thursday, June 20, the Solstice Art Crawl will be happening. It's the pre-party in downtown Santa Barbara where you can visit dozen of local participating businesses that have offers and will help you get into the Solstice celebration.

The main kick-off is set to being Friday, June 21 at Alameda Park where you will find live music and activities.

Saturday, June 22 starting at noon, the Summer Solstices Parade is making its way through Santa Barbara Street, and day two will conclude with the festival at Alameda Park until 8 p.m.

Then on Sunday, June 23, the event will wrap up at Alameda park with more live performances, food, and activities.

The organization is still looking for volunteers to help out in the fun.
