Man involved with Friday morning Sandbar shooting to be arraigned on three felony charges

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office filed three felony counts on Tuesday against Adam Zaragoza-Mujica who was involved in an early Friday morning shooting at Sandbar on State Street.

Zaragoza-Mujica is scheduled to be arraigned on these charges on Tuesday at Department 8 of the Santa Barbara County Superior Court relay Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office.

Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office levied the following charges against Zaragoza-Mujica:

  • PC 664/187(a)-Felony Attempted Murder with a special allegation of discharging a firearm, a handgun in this case, with the intent to cause great bodily injury, a violation of PC 12022.7 as well as causing great bodily injury, a violation of PC 120227.7(a)
  • PC 245(a)(2)-Felony Assault with a Firearm with special allegations of causing great bodily injury (PC 12022.7) and aggravating factors under California Rules of Court, Rule 4.421(a)
  • PC 25400(a)(2)-Felony Having a Concealed Firearm on their Person, in this case a .22 caliber Heritage Arms Revolver

The criminal complaint was signed by Senior Deputy District Attorney Heather Trapnell.
