Economy boosting for Solvang businesses ahead of summer

SOLVANG, Calif. – Business owners are experiencing an economic boost in Solvang as summer approaches, a time of year which they say they always look forward to.

Some workers at gift shops said they're already stocking up on popular items. 

With weather forecasts pointing to warmer days ahead, tourists and locals are starting to spend more time outdoors enjoying the sun and shopping around after months of fog and a winter of rain showers.

Some say they visit Solvang a few times in the summer and are looking forward to it. 

News Channel 3-12's Karen Cruz-Orduña will visit the valley Tuesday and talk to local business owners to gauge their expectations for the summer season.
