BUELLTON, Calif. — During the COVID-19 stay at home order, the mental health of many Californians was impacted.

Just before the seventh-month marker of the pandemic will be World Mental Health Day: October 10.

A Santa Barbara County winery has teamed up with two organizations to help raise money and awareness for mental health.

Alma Rosa Winery is launching its first annual Peace of Mind 10,000 Steps in the Right Direction fundraiser. The fundraiser will benefit the Mental Wellness Center and One Mind.

Starting September 10 until October 10 participants are encouraged to walk 10,000 steps, or about 5 miles, to help raise money for those organizations.

Event organizers are using the RunGo app to allow walkers and runners to have a virtual visual journey through the Alma Rosa estate.

To signup for the Peace of Mind 10,000 Steps fundraiser visit the event website here.
