Missing Santa Barbara nurse located safely
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A Santa Barbara nurse who had been missing for nearly two weeks was located safe, according to the Santa Barbara Police Department.
36-year-old Ashley Zachman was last seen Friday, May 29 after leaving her shift at Cottage Hospital.
After family and friends were unable to get in contact with her, a search began that covered multiple counties in our area and at least three states.
Earlier this week, security footage showed Zachman in Ventura County. Family confirmed that the woman in the video was Zachman and police said there was no evidence of foul play.
On Wednesday, Santa Barbara Police Department spokesman Anthony Wagner said on Twitter that Zachman was located safe and unharmed.
Wagner said her extended family was thankful for the support from the community and local law enforcement, but requested privacy at this time.
