Controlled burn along Fleming Loop trail in Morro Bay set to start Tuesday

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif.– A controlled burn is set to ignite nearly 30 brush piles from Jan. 31 through Feb. 10 along the Fleming Loop trail in Morro Bay, according to California State Parks.

The surrounding community is warned smoke be visible in the area from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. until the end of the burn.

California State Parks alongside Air Pollution control, and the Morro Bay fire Department, the burn will take place south of Quintana Road along the Fleming Loop trail in Morro Bay to reduce fuel production in the Monterey pine forest.
