Slightly cooler temperatures and muggier conditions Tuesday

Relief from the heat continues! Temperatures will cool down through midweek as high pressure weakens. Lows Tuesday morning will be in the 50s to 60s. Highs will be in the 60s to 70s on the coast, and in the 80s to low 90s inland.

There is increasing monsoon moisture nearby, but it looks like rain chances will stay in LA County Tuesday. Our region will feel muggier with extra mid-level debris clouds. Marine layer clouds will be patchy.

A beach hazards statement will expire late Wednesday night at Ventura County beaches. High tides will be abnormally high at 7.5 to 7.7 feet.

Gusty northwest winds will pick up on the Southwest Coast Tuesday evening. This wind pattern will repeat again Wednesday and Thursday nights, possibly reaching advisory levels.

High pressure will build back in at the end of the week and through the weekend. Onshore flow will also weaken, minimizing cloud cover. Temperatures will warm during this period.
