Women’s Fund Addresses Food Insecurity to Packed Crowd at The New Vic in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) - More than 200 people gathered at the new Vic for a Women’s Fund forum on food insecurity in Santa Barbara.

Local organizations discussed the growing demand for food assistance across the region.

The forum also highlighted efforts to support families facing food insecurity.

"The hope is that we will raise awareness and people will develop empathy and understanding of our neighbors and the situations that we are facing," said board member Roberta Collier of the Women's Fund.

Community leaders shared what they see as the biggest challenges and how local groups are responding.
