Aharon Zebulun Israel Brown pled guilty to multiple stalking-related charges connected to Montecito resident

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Santa Barbara County District Attorney John Savrnoch announced Thursday that Aharon Zebulun Israel Brown pled guilty to various charges related to stalking a woman in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties.

Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office states Brown pled guilty to stalking the woman, identified only as Jane Doe, from Feb. 1, 2021 to Jun. 26, 2022, while she had an active restraining order, a violation of PC 646.9(b); committing First Degree Residential Burglary at the woman's Montecito home on Jun. 26, 2022, a violation of PC 459; and making Criminal Threats against Jane Doe on Sep. 10, 2021, in Los Angeles County, a violation of PC 422.

According to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office, between February 2021 to September 2021, Brown broke into Jane Doe's Hollywood home over 92 times and on Sep. 10, 2021, Brown wielded a knife at Jane Doe's security team and threatened the lives of both Jane Doe and two security officers.

A Los Angeles County Judge granted a five-year restraining order against Brown on Oct. 5, 2021 state Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office.

On Jun. 26, 2022, Brown forcibly entered Jane Doe's Montecito home, disabled security systems with a screwdriver as well as cut wires to the alarm and telephone lines detail Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office.

According to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office, further investigation revealed the extended stalking by Brown including online searches related to her personal and professional life, attempts to determine her residence, and strategies to overcome her security measures.

Brown was found to have in his possession over 2,000 images and videos of Jane Doe and had sent threatening Instagram messages between May 26, 2022, and Jun. 26, 2022 detail Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office.

Sentencing has been scheduled for May 3, 2024, in Department 2 of the Santa Barbara County Superior Court before Judge Pauline Maxwell where Brown will be sentenced to three years, eight months in state prison and will be subject to a 10-year restraining order state Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office.

Santa Barbara County District Attorney Savrnoch noted the key role several people played in this prosecution including the courage of Jane Doe and her security team, Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Sergeant Tony Kouremetis who led the investigation, and Chief Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Karapetian who spearheaded the prosecution.
