Latest storms leads to more rain gear purchases
While youngsters look for puddles and enjoy getting wet, adults are stocking up on rain gear to protect them from the elements.
Andre Mabuchi made sure his son Jax had rain boots that wouldn’t let his feet get wet while he splashed his way down State Street in Santa Barbara on Wednesday afternoon.
Stores including Orchard Supply Hardware enjoyed late night business as people ran out to grab tarps and other supplies to protect their homes and belongings from the rain.
The steady rain made people decide to prepare for the next few wet days.
Henry Mendez ventured out to buy tarps and to replace a broken thermostat.
Mendez said he is hoping for more rain as long as it’s not too heavy.
