US Marine from Solvang Returns Home

Santa Barbara- A US Marine from Solvang reunites with friends and family Thursday night, after serving in Afghanistan. KEY News was there to capture the emotional homecoming. Corporal Cody Linton grew up in Santa Ynez, where he attended Santa Ynez High school. This was his second deployment. Military Veterans who had heard of his arrival, had also gathered at the Santa Barbara airport to welcome him home. His girlfriend also surprised him, flying all the way from New Jersey. The Linton family wants to help support local men and women who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan. A barbeque is being held, Friday night, at the Solvang Vets Hall from 4-6pm. KEY News Reporter Shirin Rajaee reports.
