Two Suspected Gang Members Arrested for Attempted Murder

Santa Maria police say, two gang members are in jail for attempting to murder and torture another man. Police say, Simon Gutierrez and Johnny Lugo stabbed a man in a gang related attack in the 1100 block of North Broadway back in June. Lugo was arrested Wednesday, while driving a stolen vehicle, after additional investigative work Gutierrez was also arrested. Both men face charges for attempted murder and torture with a street gang enhancement.
