Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The Saks Fifth Avenue store in downtown Santa Barbara will hold a fundraiser this week in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month. It’s another example of “What’s Right.” Experts say early detection is one of the key factors in fighting the disease. They encourage women to have annual mammograms starting at 40.The Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara provides information including meditation and reiki or energy balancing. Money raised during the Saks Fifth Avenue “key to the cure” fundraiser will benefit the Breast Cancer Resource Center.The three day charity shopping weekend kicks off this Thursday.
