Concerts in the park return in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif– Concerts in the park are back at Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara.

The first performance is Thursday, and it is *absolutely free* of charge.

The City of Santa Barbara Parks and Rec Department puts this together every year for the community.

Officials said it is one of their favorite summer traditions.

A live band will perform every Thursday for the month of July.

Paradise Kings will play Thursday evening.

People are encouraged to bring some blankets and chairs.

“You can bring your own food and your own drinks,” said Michelle McDonnell with the City of Santa Barbara. “However, we will have a few food trucks that will be available for those who don’t have a chance to go home and pack up- pack a dinner. they can just grab something from our food trucks and sit down and enjoy it with everybody else.”

Bands were selected through an online application process, which received over 40 submissions.

Applications to perform during the 2024 concert series will open in November.

The concert is tonight from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

This event is for people of all ages.
