Solvang Tree Burn to return in 2022
SOLVANG, Calif. - The popular Solvang Tree Burn will return in 2022 after a year off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The post-holiday tradition was canceled in 2021 as organizers sought to prevent crowds from gathering.
It will return once again on Jan. 7, 2022 at the empty fields outside Old Mission Santa Ines.
The massive bonfire gives community members a chance to get rid of their Christmas trees, while also providing a training opportunity for the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The department says it's one of the largest fire safety demonstrations in Santa Barbara County.
This year's tree burn is set to start at 5:30 p.m.
There will be free live entertainment along with refreshments for purchase.
