Santa Barbara County records 111th COVID-19 death

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Santa Barbara County reported its 111th coronavirus-related death on Tuesday.

This person was over 70 years old and had underlying health conditions, the public health department said. They resided in the unincorporated area near Goleta.

A death is considered to be coronavirus-related when a death certificate is processed that lists COVID-19 as the cause of death or a significant contributing factor. The process can take weeks to verify.
