Ending the week with a slightly cooler Friday and extra cloud cover

Above normal temperatures and northeasterly winds will be short-lived, as conditions turn around Friday. Onshore flow will return, bringing some patchy marine layer with it.

An upper low off of Washington State will head over California Friday. There will be a slew of mid-level clouds associated with it.

Temperatures Friday will drop 4 to 8 degrees. Highs will be mostly in the 70s on the coast, with some Central Coast beaches in the 60s. Inland highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Saturday will be rather nondescript. There will be enough onshore flow for a good marine layer in the morning, but the day will be mostly clear. The interior may warm slightly.

A ridge will come in from the south Sunday and push the upper low away. There may still be a patchy marine layer, but we will also transition back to offshore flow, making for a sunny and warmer day.

Monday is likely to be the warmest day of the next seven for most of the region. Ridging and offshore flow will persist. Tuesday and Wednesday will be slightly cooler with the addition of sundowner winds in the forecast.
