A warming trend continues Monday

Clouds and the marine layer were quick to develop Monday morning. The Central Coast will be shrouded in clouds yet again for the first half of the day, clearing after lunch with lots of sunshine. Temperatures will warm a few degrees from the weekend, but will still be a degree or two below average. Expect highs for the day into the 60s and 70s near the coast and upper 70s and lower 80s for the interior. Winds near the Gaviota Coast will be blustery as the sun sets, but will not be up to advisory levels.

Temperatures begin to spike into Tuesday, mainly for inland areas, and will reach near or above average. Winds will pick up Tuesday night near the Santa Ynez Range and advisory level sundowners are expected. Clouds and dense fog will be present in the morning but retreat after lunch.

Winds remain blustery into Wednesday, and will be near or above advisory thresholds. Temperatures will also be a main topic of the day, as it will be the warmest day of the week. A cooling trend begins Thursday and temperatures free fall into the weekend.
