Former UCSB standout Miles Norris signs a two-way contract with the Atlanta Hawks

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Miles Norris is poised to become the next player from UCSB to play in the NBA.

The 6'10 forward agreed to a two-way contract with the Atlanta Hawks.

The 23-year old Norris averaged over 14 points and 6 rebounds per game last season as he helped the Gauchos into the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years.

The high-flying Norris also shot 39 percent from three-point distance.

A two-way contract allows developing players to simultaneously be rostered on an NBA team and its G League affiliate.

Teams can have up to two players on two-way contracts at a time, in addition to their 15 normally allocated roster spots.

2018 UCSB graduate Gabe Vincent is currently the only active Gaucho in the NBA and he started on the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat.
