San Luis Obispo County Fire conducting cliff rescue near Pirate’s Cove

AVILA BEACH, Calif. – San Luis Obispo County Fire Department is conducting a cliff rescue for a single male over the side of cliffs north of Pirates Cove Wednesday evening.

San Luis Obispo County Fire is constructing a rope system to reach the man whose present condition has not been released.

Included in the current response is an Urban Search and Rescue Unit and two Cal Fire San Luis Obispo County engines.

The call for assistance came around 6:11 p.m. Wednesday.
