Fryklund pitches another shutout as San Marcos advances into CIF-SS D5 quarterfinals

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Awesome Allie does it again!

San Marcos High School senior Allie Fryklund pitched her fourth straight complete game shutout as the Royals beat Schurr 2-0 in a CIF-SS D5 second round game.

Tiana Monaghan snapped a scoreless game with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth inning as pinch-runner Rosie Gonzalez raced all the way home from first.

Monaghan would score later in the inning on a wild pitch.

San Marcos will play the winner of Monday's game between Carter vs University Prep.
