Santa Barbara Unified announces high school graduation plans
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara Unified School District announced plans on Wednesday for upcoming graduation ceremonies.
Districtwide, more than 1,500 high school seniors will graduate in June.
All graduating seniors will receive a custom sign to display in their window or lawn. These signs will help the community recognize the members of the graduating Class of 2020.
Elementary and junior high schools are also exploring ways to pay tribute to our graduating sixth-graders and eighth-graders to celebrate the important milestone.
Here are a few highlights, with more specifics to be communicated over the coming days:
Dos Pueblos High School will have a drive-in style graduation ceremony from 7-10 pm, Wednesday June 3 on the Dos Pueblos High campus. Per county Public Health guidelines, all participants are required to remain in their cars.

La Cuesta and Alta Vista high schools are planning on several mementos to commemorate this year’s graduation ceremony. A digital montage of all students will be created highlighting each student. Staff will be filming their graduation over the course of several days. The graduation ceremony will be released online on June 2nd at 5 pm.
