Pursuit of stolen vehicle suspect from Los Angeles ends in Santa Barbara
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Santa Barbara CHP and Ventura CHP arrested one in a stolen vehicle pursuit on Monday afternoon in Santa Barbara.
Ventura CHP received reports of a stolen vehicle around 9:26 a.m. from the northern Los Angeles area.
The stolen vehicle was described to be a creme color heavy duty Dodge truck.
CHP officers located the truck in the Ventura area around 10 a.m.
The truck later travelled into the Santa Barbara area.
Both Santa Barbara and Ventura CHP pursued the truck.
The truck exited at Mariposa Reina Road and the identified male suspect fled the vehicle on foot.
Officers were able to apprehend the man without incident.
CHP officers from the Ventura County Auto Theft Task Force will be handling the investigation.
