Beautiful offshore flow, Sunday Oct 25th forecast

Anikka Abbott/KEYT

Light offshore winds have returned bringing beautiful sunny skies and temperatures warming in to the 70's and 80's. The offshore flow will continue through the weekend which means more great weather is expected for Sunday with even a few degrees of warming possible. That means you can expect widespread 70's with a few 80's in our warmest areas and we shouldn't see any fog for our coastal areas Sunday morning. The offshore winds will be strongest below pases and canyons with maximum gusts staying well below advisory levels.

Looking ahead, the offshore flow will weaken slightly as we head in to next week with some fog slowly creeping back in along the Central Coast. Temperatures will stay mostly seasonal through about mid week. An area of low pressure will approach the region toward the Thursday and Friday and this is when we could see another rain event for Halloween weekend. Our forecast computers are definitely seeing good chances for precipitation on Friday and then Saturday which is Halloween. However, our long range models disagree about intensity and exact trajectory with regard to a potential cut off low. This type of weather pattern is usually very erratic and needs to be monitored daily for expected changes. We will watch and update accordingly right here and as well on broadcast channels.
