How are higher interest rates and rising prices affecting you?

(CNN) — Last month, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates for the first time in more than three years, as it tries to bring inflation under control. But higher rates make borrowing more expensive for consumers and businesses — one reason mortgage rates have climbed to a three-year high in recent weeks.

It could take time before consumers see much relief from rising prices. And more rate hikes could be on the way, too.
