Happy Thursday! Dense fog has developed early this morning in many microclimates bringing visibility issues. Many. clouds will clear quickly as the heat begins. Don't let the clouds fool you, it'll be a sweltering hot day with many areas into the 80s, 90s and triple digits. Winds will be breezy and offshore.

The real wave of heat begins Friday. By 10am an Extreme Heat Watch is put in place for a majority of the coverage zone. Temperatures in the forecast could reach dangerous levels and overnight lows will provide minimal relief. Stay hydrated and use caution. Keep and eye on those at risk as this is a long duration heatwave.

A toasty weekend is on board as highs rise into the 80s and 90s with some triple digits inland. We hold with the heat into next week. Our Extreme Heat Watch is set in place through the 8th of October. This will be a long duration heatwave with more Heat Alerts likely.
