Sunday looks great, Sept 20th forecast

Beautiful late Summer weather continues to blanket the region. We do have an area of low pressure currently sitting just off the West Coast which is keeping us under a mild onshore flow pattern. There is a very slight chance for some cloud buildups with sprinkles occurring over foothills and mountains through Monday. Otherwise, marine layer late night and early morning fog, light ocean breezes and very mild weather is expected once again on Sunday.

Looking ahead, as we head toward the middle of next week, high pressure will fill in behind our current West Coast trough. This will likely lead to some noticeable warming with many inland areas seeing at least low 90's returning. Coastal areas will stay cooler with late night and early morning fog remaining in play, but warming is expected there as well. By the second half of the work week another Pacific born area of low pressure will drop south and that should bring cooler weather as we head in to the last weekend of September. However, some of our forecast models show just a slight drop with most inland areas staying on the warmer than normal side. We will monitor closely as we head in to early next week and pass on the updated forecast details as to what we expect to see unfold next weekend.
