Tracking a cooler weekend

KEYT

We begin Friday morning with warm temperatures but the wave of heat is finally over. Many areas got needed relief overnight and will see a 5-15 degree temperature drop from yesterday. Some areas will be 20 degrees cooler than Wednesday. Expect highs in the 60s, 70s and 80s. A Heat Advisory is still in place for Santa Barbara through 6pm where highs will remain in the 80s and 90s. Lows tonight cool further and many areas drop into the 50s and 60s.

Some marine clouds will be back Saturday and Sunday morning. We cool further as onshore flow reestablishes. Expect clear afternoon skies and light winds. Marine waters remain calm, so a great beach weekend is ahead.

We cool further into next week. Many areas return to normals by Monday if not sooner. Expect 70s and 80s every afternoon and minimal weather pattern changes.
