Dons win the final two sets to pull out win

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) -

Santa Barbara 3, Ventura 2: The Dons rally to win Channel League opener 19-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-19, 15-7. Blake Saunders had 14 kills and 13 digs. Jules Horton filled up the stat sheet with 39 assists, 14 digs, 5 kills and 4 aces.

(Dons improve to 9-6 on the year. Entenza Design).

Oxnard 3, San Marcos 0: Harper Dees had 8 kills for the Royals who fell on the road in their Channel League opener 19-25, 20-25, 23-25.

Dos Pueblos 3, Channel Islands 0: Charlize Welch led the Chargers with 16 kills in their Pacific View League opener. The Chargers won 25-12, 25-8, 27-25. "It was a great showing for our first league game, and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish from here,” Coach Emily Curry said. “This team is really starting to gel together and play as a unit. We’re learning how to trust each other, compete together, and find ways to win as a team.”

St. Bonaventure 3, Bishop Diego 1: Karina Urzua had 34 kills and 35 digs but the Cardinals dropped their first Tri-Valley League game of the season 26-28, 25-19, 25-27, 13-25. Bishop Diego is 3-1 in league and 10-4 overall.
