Tracking rain and dangerous rip currents Labor Day weekend

One last beautiful day is ahead this Friday before a weather pattern shift into the weekend. Head to the beaches before high waves and dangerous rip currents arrive this weekend. Highs rise into the 70s and 80s for most and skies remain mostly sunny. Air quality will still be an issue.

Beach Hazard Statements, High Surf Advisories and Coastal Flood Warnings will go into effect Saturday afternoon. Expect dangerous beaches and rip currents throughout the weekend as a few hurricanes swirl in the Pacific. This will bring tropical clouds and higher humidity values. Highs reach 70s and 80s for all. Winds will be breezy at times and a few pop up showers cannot be ruled out, mainly in high terrain.

Many areas will see rain chances rising Sunday before a short lived drying trend on Labor Day. The bulk of the moisture appears to be well south of our area, however some pop up rain is a possibility. Skies on Sunday will turn overcast and this will help temperatures drop a few degrees but humidity will still be high. By Tuesday and Wednesday we rise again with rain chances to 20% for most of the area. This will be some monsoonal threat but amounts will be dismal for most.
