Tracking Extreme heat and fire weather Tuesday

We begin Tuesday morning with clear skies for Santa Barbara and some clouds for other microclimates. A rapid clearing and warming trend is on board for all areas. Dangerous heat into the 80s, 90s and triple digits is expected. Many areas skyrocket 10+ degrees from yesterday. A Heat Advisory holds through 10am before an Extreme Heat Warning goes into effect and hold through 8pm Friday. A Red Flag Warnings will also begin at 10am and will last through 3pm Friday. It is imperative to practice heat and fire safety. Overnight lows will be unusually warm as well. Many areas will see temperatures 10-15 degrees above average, including overnight lows.

Peak heating occurs Wednesday for most. Many areas will rise a few degrees from Tuesday. Clouds coverage will look rinse and repeat. Winds will be breezy and offshore, sub advisory levels. Sundowners crank up through the Gaviota corridors. Power safety shutoffs are likely.

We holds with dangerous heat Thursday into Friday. Minimal day to day differences. A small cooldown is projected for the weekend, but only a few degrees or so. Many watches, warnings and advisories may be extended. A more notable cooling trend begins next week.
