Fire Crews Successfully Put Out Residential Fire on 4th Street Wednesday

PASO ROBLES, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire crews responded to a duplex fire on 4th Street caused by cigarette smoking activity Wednesday afternoon.

On Aug. 19, around 1:56 p.m., first responders were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 300 block of Vine Street stated a press release from Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services.

Arriving firefighters found light smoke coming from a raised foundation duplex in the 500 block of 4th Street and assisted a woman and her dog out of the residence shared the local emergency response agency.

According to Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services, the fire started from smoking activities on an outside deck and spread into nearby vegetation and fire crews were able to limit the spread of flames to the deck and exterior of the building.

There were no injuries reported from the scene and residents were able to return to their home after the scene was fully secured added Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services.
