Paso Robles Man Arrested After Crushing Car with Front Loader Tractor After Dispute

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – A 38-year-old Paso Robles man was arrested after allegedly using a front loader tractor to crush a vehicle following an argument.

On August 1, around 12:03 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a 911 call about a person driving a tractor into an occupied vehicle in the 1700 block of Sinton Road in Santa Maria stated a press release Monday from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office.

Arriving deputies found a crushed vehicle and learned that an adult woman had been in the passenger seat of the vehicle as a man, later identified as a 38-year-old Paso Robles resident, had rammed the vehicle with a tractor several times detailed the local sheriff's office.

The woman was able to escape without serious injury before the 38-year-old used the tractor's bucket to destroy the vehicle added the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office, an investigation revealed the Paso Robles man had destroyed the vehicle after a dispute and deputies were able to safely take the 38-year-old into custody after locating him still in the tractor.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the man was booked into the Northern Branch Jail on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism as well as an outstanding no-bail warrant out of San Luis Obispo County.
