Pleasant Tuesday, slight cooling before hot weekend

KEYT

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Temperatures will be warm and a few degrees above average Tuesday which is slight relief before heat returns strongly.

Heat alerts will expire Monday night as we cool slightly into midweek, most areas in the 70s, as high pressure weakens a bit.

Also onshore flow will be stronger, mostly from the west.

This weekend temperatures will jolt back up into the 80s and 90s because high pressure will shift westward.

Record breaking heat is possible over the weekend - a heat watch will be issued.

Minimal relief is expected to follow for early August.
