Thomas Aquinas President talks Odyssey

SANTA PAULA, Calif. (KEYT) Classic literature enthusiasts are excited over The Odyssey's movie adaptation. 

Dr. Paul J. O'Reilly, the President of Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula has led many seminars on the story of The Odyssey over the years.

He said he is please there is a new movie about it.

"The odyssey is an extraordinary book, we read at Thomas Aquinas College with our students. They love it, they love it, at least in part because of the spectacle," said O'Reilly, " It's more about the journey of his soul."

He said that makes it timely.

O'reilly also said he is a man searching for happiness at first in all the wrong places.

The Odyssey film is on track for another historic weekend at the box office.
