Firefighters responded to residential fire on Greenville Avenue in Simi Valley Thursday

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire crews responded to a structure fire at a home in the 3300 block of Greenville Avenue Thursday.

Firefighters completed their initial search of the home and confirmed that all of the residents had safely exited the building shared the Ventura County Fire Department.

According to Ventura County Fire, engines arrived at the scene to find fire and smoke coming from the residence and employed an aggressive attack plan to limit the spread of the flames that appeared to be coming from a bedroom.

A total of 16 units and 36 firefighters responded to the fire before the incident commander was able to share that the primary source of the flames had been extinguished successfully detailed the Ventura County Fire Department.
