Man dies after single-vehicle rollover off northbound Highway 101 near Jonata Park Road

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – A man died after the pickup truck he was driving was involved in a single-vehicle rollover off of northbound Highway 101 near Jonata Park Road Monday.

The identity of the man has not been publicly released.

According to the California Highway Patrol-Buellton Area (CHP), the man was trapped inside the damaged Ford Ranger that had rolled down an embankment on the east side of Highway 101

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department performed CPR on the man after he was removed from the truck, but he was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:13 a.m. shared the CHP.

One lane of northbound Highway 101 was closed as part of the response, bit all lanes are now open added the CHP.

This fatal incident is under investigation and anyone with more information is asked to contact the Buellton Area CHP Office at 805-691-6160.
